What each number means

Public views
The number YouTube shows everyone. Since 24 August 2026 YouTube counts it from the moment a video starts to play, autoplay and hover previews included.
Engaged views
YouTube’s stricter count: plays that got past the first frame, or that someone clicked or tapped to start. Only the channel owner can see it, so it reaches a creator page only when they connect their channel.
Verified Rate
Engaged views divided by public views. Calculated by views.tv, not by YouTube, with both inputs printed beside it so anyone can check the arithmetic.
