Find videos climbing right now
Most "trending" lists are either editorial or purchasable. The order on Rising is a measurement: views per hour between two readings we took ourselves.
1Read the rate, not the position
The number beside each video is measured views per hour. The position is just that number sorted, so the rate is the thing to compare.
2Check the window on the video’s own page
Each rate is computed over the window shown on the video page. A short window is a noisier rate, and the page tells you which you are looking at.
3Know that placement is not for sale
Nobody can pay to appear here or to rank higher, and we do not accept payment to feature a video. That rule is written down and it is not negotiable.
What this cannot tell you
- Rising only ranks videos somebody has asked us to track. It is not a view of all of YouTube.
- A video with fewer than two readings, or readings closer together than our floor, is absent rather than ranked on a guess.
- A high rate is not a quality judgement, and a steady one is not an accusation.
